Knitter


Knitter is a group of weavers who leave their works on monuments, street furniture and other elements of public space. Innovative materials used in urban areas, which do not damage the media, such as wool and textiles. The group's mission is to make street art "a little more warm and woolly" in accordance with AKrylik member.

members and AKrylik PolyCotN (two women Houston, Texas, USA) founded the group in 2005 as a way to channel their frustration with unfinished projects, such as medium-knit sweaters.

name and nicknames of the members of the group were inspired by the desire "to resemble graffiti, but tissue elements." The group mixes traditional terminology tissue with hip-hop, so they changed the name to Knitter Knitting to "represent the traditional nickname of street art." names Inluye PolyCotN members, AKrylik (founders) Nekklas Purl, P-Knitty, The Knotorious NIT, MascuKnitity, and Granny SQ.
