project description "Beauty" is a poetic documentary project developed by Veronica Suanno, Nilda Mercedes Rosemberg and Resch, in Cura Malal. Aims to generate a reflection from the encounter with the reality of some residents of a small town in southern Buenos Aires province.
The meeting consists of a series of visits, approaches the universe of each of these people in their context.
audiovisual records that serve as documents, listening and memory of the encounter, stories-and the translation into a visual language with its own resources are the tools we use to create and give value to a sort of living archive. File resulting from the experience of combining the poetic documentary, fundamental understanding of the importance of landscape as a product of the culture of the people and to cause the specifics that make the beauty of the place. Finding what your daily chores, how to solve a particular problem, what dialogue established between their present and past.
We are documenting our own experience of the visit, group work, experience working with experience.

JR worked for a month in Brazil, in the Providencia slum in Rio de Janeiro.
This setting he favored a meeting with women for whom crime, violent loss of a neighbor and the arbitrary enforcement authorities as part of their daily lives.
El Morro da Providencia is the oldest and most dangerous slum in Rio. He was recently the scene of the death of three innocent young teens because of the war opposing the corrupt local authorities (police, navy) and the drug traffickers who harbors. When photographing women
backgrounds and different generations, are particularly interested in its history and to delimit their way of life in the context of a latent conflict. Each portrait is evidence of the expression of the life of these women.

All portraits printed in huge formats are installed with the help of the community on the walls of the favela, which gives JR a face that suddenly unites hill and asphalt.
